Bebiew

Bebiew Terms of Service for users outside Korea

Effective: October 6, 2026

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and MOFT AI Co., Ltd. ("we", "us") for using Bebiew in the apps and on bebiew.com.

  • They apply to accounts whose service region is a country or region other than the Republic of Korea. Accounts in Korea use our Korean terms (이용약관) instead.
  • Our Privacy Policy for users outside Korea explains how we handle personal information. It is part of these terms.
  • The country sections at the end add rules for some countries. Where a country section differs from the main terms, the country section applies.
  • Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded. Section 12 explains this.

2. Who we are

  • MOFT AI Co., Ltd. (모프트에이아이 주식회사)
  • Startup Bay, 3F, 86 Jungjeong-ro, Seogwipo-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Republic of Korea
  • Business registration no. 207-87-03818 · Mail-order business report no. 2026-Jeju Jeongbang-12
  • Representative: Giwoong Kim
  • Email: admin@moftai.com

3. Who can use Bebiew

  • Accounts are for adults. You must be 18 or over, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to create an account. By creating one, you confirm that you are.
  • Children use Bebiew through your account. You can add only children for whom you are a parent or legal guardian. You set up child mode on your device and stay responsible for how your child uses Bebiew.
  • Guardian consent comes first. Before you add the first child or turn on child mode, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and agree to how we handle your child's information, on a one-time consent screen.
  • Keep your account safe. Give accurate details, keep your sign-in secure, and do not share your account outside your household. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
  • Only your own family's information. Do not upload another person's photo, voice or personal details unless you have the right to.

4. What Bebiew does

Bebiew makes personalised picture books for children with AI, and lets them read, listen and play. Depending on your plan and settings, it includes:

  • story books written, illustrated and narrated by AI, with your child as the hero;
  • Bebie, an AI chat friend your child can talk to by text or voice;
  • reading and learning activities, a word notebook and a weekly growth record;
  • reports for you about what your child read, chose and said;
  • a weekly reading league, which you can leave at any time, where families in a group of up to 30 see each other's alias (such as "Reading friend 123"), level and weekly score, and nothing else;
  • Drawn Friend of the Month, a monthly pick of children's drawings that you can choose to enter (section 6);
  • sending a finished story to people you choose by link;
  • event and offer notifications, only if you turn them on.

Some features are available only in Korea and are not part of the service outside Korea: the public gallery and public Bebie rooms, stories read in a guardian's own voice, printed books, Korean phone sign-up, Kakao notification messages, and web payments.

We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something you have paid for and not yet received, we refund the unused part.

5. About AI

  • AI makes the content. Anthropic (Claude) writes the story text. OpenAI draws the pictures and runs Bebie's chat and voice. Google and OpenAI narrate stories. The Privacy Policy lists every provider.
  • AI can make mistakes. Stories, pictures, narration and Bebie's replies can be inaccurate, odd or not what you expected. We do not promise that every output is accurate, complete or the same each time.
  • Safety checks are not perfect. We check what goes into and comes out of the AI, but no check catches everything. Please report anything inappropriate with the report button on your family's stories and in Bebie's chat, or email us.
  • Bebie is an AI, not a person. Bebie says so at the start of each text chat, and Bebie's chat panel shows an "AI" badge. After a long chat Bebie suggests a break.
  • An AI chat friend may not suit every child. You know your child best. You can turn Bebie's text chat and voice chat off for each child in Bebie's room.
  • Not a crisis service. If your child says something that suggests they may be at risk of harm, Bebie replies with a supportive message, asks your child to tell a trusted grown-up and, in Singapore and New Zealand, gives local helpline numbers. Bebie does not replace a parent, a professional or emergency services, and we do not watch chats live. We tell you when Bebie has given such a reply, without your child's words.
  • Reports are not assessments. Reports describe what your child did in Bebiew. They are not medical, psychological or developmental assessments.

6. Your content and ours

  • What you bring stays yours. Photos, drawings, names and text you add remain yours, or the original owner's.
  • Stories made for your family. We do not claim ownership of the stories, pictures or audio Bebiew makes for your family. To the extent we have rights in them, we give you a free, permanent permission to keep, print and share them for personal, non-commercial use. It continues after you close your account for copies you saved. Whether AI-made content is protected by copyright, and who would own it, depends on local law, so we cannot promise that anyone holds exclusive rights in it.
  • What you let us do. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, process and change your content only as needed to provide Bebiew to you, including sending it to the providers in the Privacy Policy. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies the law requires us to keep.
  • Drawn Friend of the Month. Entering a story is optional and happens only when you tap Enter on that story in your library, after the guardian check and the entry terms shown there. Entering costs nothing. By entering, you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission, lasting until you withdraw the entry, to post your child's drawing and the story's friend picture on Bebiew's Instagram account and in our story series "Bori's Journey", and to have the friend appear as a guest in that series. We pick by looking at the drawings; nothing is decided by chance. We never use your child's name or face. You can withdraw an entry at any time; we then do not post it and take down anything already posted, but we cannot recall copies others saved while it was up. A featured family gets a credit for one free book.
  • Story links. When you send a story by link, anyone who has the link can read it until the link closes (30 days, or earlier if you close it). You decide who gets the link, so please share it only with people you trust.
  • No training without asking. We do not use your family's content to train public AI models, or in our advertising, without your separate consent.
  • Bebiew itself is ours. The app, website, characters (including Bebie), designs and software belong to us or our licensors. Do not copy, resell or build a competing service from them.

7. Acceptable use

Do not:

  • create or ask for content that is unlawful, sexual, hateful, violent toward real people, or harmful to children;
  • upload content that infringes someone else's rights, or another person's photo or voice without permission;
  • pretend to be someone else;
  • try to get around safety checks, purchase rules or the free-book limit (for example with multiple accounts or devices);
  • scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or attack the service, or use automated tools to access it;
  • resell or mass-copy the service or its content;
  • post story links publicly, or enter a drawing your child did not make.

If you break these rules, we may limit or suspend your account. We tell you first and explain why, unless there is an urgent safety or security risk; then we act first and explain afterwards.

8. Purchases in the app

Where you buy. Outside Korea you buy Bebiew passes and credits in the app, through Google Play or the Apple App Store where available. We do not sell on the website outside Korea. Google or Apple takes the payment under their own terms, and shows the price in your local currency, including any tax, before you buy.

Free first book. A new account outside Korea signed in with Google or Apple can make one free book in the app. There is one free book per account and one per device. Use it within 30 days of claiming it. We may refuse a claim that breaks this rule.

Passes (subscriptions).

  • A pass is a monthly subscription. Before you buy, the store and our screen show the price, what the pass includes (such as the number of stories each month) and that it renews automatically.
  • It renews every month until you cancel. The store charges you at the start of each month of the pass.
  • Cancel in the store. Cancel in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions) or in your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Your pass stays active until the end of the month you have paid for. You can also open the store's subscription page from the pass screen in Bebiew.
  • Deleting your Bebiew account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store first, or the store will keep charging you.
  • Changing to a different pass follows the store's upgrade and downgrade rules, shown before you confirm.
  • If we raise the price of a pass, the store tells you before the new price applies and, where its rules or the law require, asks you to accept it. If you do not accept, the pass ends at the end of the paid month.
  • Stories included in a month that you do not use do not carry over to the next month.

Credits.

  • You can buy single credits in the app: a story credit makes one personalised book, and voice credits add minutes of voice chat with Bebie (for example 30 or 100 minutes).
  • A credit is used up when you start the book, or as your child talks by voice.
  • A story credit you buy can be used at any time, with or without a pass.
  • Extra books at the lower subscriber price are offered only in Korea. Outside Korea, a single book is always at the regular price.
  • Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. They do not expire while your account exists.

When a story fails. A book is made for your child as soon as you start it, so we cannot take back a book once it has been made. But if a book cannot be finished because of a problem on our side, after our retries:

  • a story made with a credit, coupon or pass gets that credit back;
  • a Google Play purchase is refunded to you through Google Play;
  • an App Store purchase gets a story credit back at once, and you can also ask Apple for a refund. If Apple refunds you, we take that credit back.

Refunds. Google Play and Apple handle refund requests for purchases made through them, under their refund policies. You can also contact us at admin@moftai.com with your order number. We look at every request, and we refund where we charged you in error, where something you paid for did not work as described, or where your local consumer law gives you a right to a refund. These terms do not take away any refund or remedy you have under consumer law (section 12).

9. Ending your account

  • You can close your account at any time in the app or on the web, signed in, at bebiew.com/account/delete, or by emailing admin@moftai.com.
  • When you close it, we delete your account, your children's profiles and your stories within 10 days, as the Privacy Policy explains. Purchase records the law requires us to keep are stored separately.
  • Before you close your account, ask us at admin@moftai.com to refund the credits you bought and have not used, and we refund them. Free credits and the rest of a pass end when you close your account. This does not affect refund rights you have under consumer law. Remember to cancel any store subscription first.
  • We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. We tell you first where we can. If we close your account without good reason, or because we stop offering Bebiew, we refund the unused part of what you paid in advance, through the store or, where the store does not let us, directly to you.
  • If we stop offering Bebiew in your country or everywhere, we give you at least 30 days' notice where we can, so you can save your books.

10. Changes to the service

We may change or pause the service for maintenance, failures, security, changes by our providers, or events beyond our control. We give notice in advance of a significant pause to a paid feature where we reasonably can.

11. Changes to these terms

  • We post every change on this page with its date. Changes that are not worse for you take effect at least 7 days after we post them. Changes that are worse for you take effect at least 30 days after we post them, and we also email you when we post them.
  • If you do not agree with a change, you can close your account before it takes effect, and we refund the unused part of what you paid in advance.

12. Your consumer rights

Some rights cannot be taken away. If you are a consumer, you may have rights under the consumer laws of the country where you live that no contract can exclude or limit. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes those rights. If any part of these terms conflicts with them, those rights win. The country sections give examples.

13. Our responsibility to you

  • We provide Bebiew with reasonable care and skill.
  • As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for:
    • loss you could not reasonably have expected when you started using Bebiew;
    • loss caused by your own breach of these terms, or by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of networks or providers we do not control.
  • As far as the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. If you are a consumer, this limit never reduces a remedy that consumer law gives you.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability or right that cannot be limited under applicable law (section 12).

14. Governing law and disputes

  • Please contact us first at admin@moftai.com. Most problems can be solved quickly.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  • If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live always apply, whatever these terms say. Choosing Korean law never takes away their protection.
  • You can bring a claim against us in the courts or tribunals of the country where you live. If we need to bring a claim against you, we bring it there too.

15. General

  • If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over Bebiew, if your rights are not reduced. We email you before it happens. You may not transfer your account.
  • If we translate these terms and the versions differ, the English version applies unless your local law says otherwise.

  • You can bring a claim in the Small Claims Tribunals of Singapore where they have jurisdiction.
  • Drawn Friend of the Month is free to enter, and we pick by looking at the drawings, with no element of chance (section 6).

B. New Zealand
