More than a story to sit and watch

Children do more than listen. They speak, answer, and read through the story together with Bebie.

Bebie starts the conversation, your child responds, and they read together

Instead of only listening, children take part in the story as Bebie asks and listens to their response.

Meet English naturally inside the story

As children follow a favorite scene, they hear English expressions and get moments to repeat them without turning the experience into forced study.

Try saying
Bebie, help me!

Responses become clear guardian reports

Depending on the plan, reading activity and whether language tasks were completed independently, with help, or attempted are organized into an easy-to-read report.

What would be a good first step in this scene?

Bebie · Thinking together without rushing to the answer

Read and think together

Bebie asks for your child's next idea—not just the right answer

Bebiew's Socratic dialogue pauses within the story to ask why, how, or what your child might try next, always grounded in the scene they just read.

Questions come from the scene

Bebie asks a short question based only on the event and characters your child just read about.

Bebie listens to the answer

Bebie does not rush to reveal an answer. Children can use a short hint, choose an option, or skip when they need to.

The answer shapes what comes next

Your child's choice and reason can influence the next action and return in the story's closing reflection.

This is not a right-or-wrong quiz or endless open chat. Open responses are not converted into scores or ability levels, and Bebie keeps each question brief and age-appropriate within the story.

Korean and English reading support can be configured separately. English-only stories use English dialogue, while Korean-English stories provide both texts with Korean Socratic questions.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Find answers to common questions about Bebiew.

What is Socratic dialogue?
Bebiew's Socratic dialogue asks why your child thinks something, what they might try, or what could happen next based on the scene they just read. Their choice and reason can then carry into the next scene.
What if my child cannot answer right away?
The story does not stop and your child is never pressured to answer. Bebie can ask a shorter scene-based question, and your child can choose a hint or skip and continue.
Are open responses marked right or wrong?
No. Open Socratic responses are not labeled right or wrong and are not turned into scores or ability levels. Only observable choices and whether help was used may appear in activity records.
Do questions change with my child's age?
Yes. Younger children receive short, concrete questions about visible actions. Older children may consider evidence, consequences, and another character's point of view. Age bands guide question length and support, not diagnosis.
What can guardians see in reports?
Depending on the plan, reports can show reading activity, independent or assisted completion, attempts, language activities, and curiosity, weekly, or Socratic session records. They do not provide medical, psychological, or peer-comparison scores.
Can guardians manage dialogue and activity records?
Yes. Guardians can review and delete dialogue records, personalization memories, language activity, and reports. Original voice recordings are not stored continuously; stories, photos, and payment records follow their own retention rules.
Can my child read and speak in English too?
Yes. Korean and English reading support can be configured separately. English-only stories use English text and dialogue. Korean-English stories provide both texts, with Socratic questions currently conducted in Korean.
Can we start Bebiew for free?
Yes. The FREE plan includes one story per month and five Bebie conversations per day. Unpurchased stories are kept for three days; you can buy a story or choose a subscription to keep it or create more often.
Can we reopen stories from the library?
Yes. Unpurchased stories remain available for three days from creation. Stories kept through a one-time payment, coupon, or subscription credit remain in the library for one year from payment unless deleted earlier or the account is closed.
